The Welch family moved from Boca Raton, Florida to Brussels, Belgium on Oct 23, 2005 for a two year stint with James' company, Deloitte & Touche LLP. This hopefully will track the many journeys we hope to take while we're here and the little adventures along the way...

A trip to Boston

Don't they look cute together :)
Nice hugs (though there were some tears before and after).
Saoirse didn't want to pose for the camera.
Brian and Ciaran in happier times - Brian can't wait until Ciaran is 17 to remind him of the horror stories.
The kidlets and I went to see our good friends Rebecca, Brian and Amelie in Boston. Amee and Ciaran are about a month apart and it was a good thing we're all old friends because the kids were nightmares! They did play nice together, then fought over toys, screamed and threw tantrums in the restaurants, chased the cat and drank the dog's water (my kids), stayed up all night crying (mine again) and gave us all a run for our money as toddlers do (preschool for you Amelie). But it was good to see you guys! Thanks for putting up with us!

Sledding

This was the kids' first go at sledding (in my parents' backyard. Ciaran kept losing his boots, Saoirse her gloves and me my patience with screaming kids and cold weather :). James came for a four day visit over Presidents' Day weekend and this was his first time sledding, only took 29 years!

The Yank Has Returned to Connecticut

Saoirse gets her first haircut! She didn't cry at all (thank god).

This Yank decided that we could be either cold and miserable and without help or things to do durring James' busy season in Belgium, or be cold, miserable, etc. with help and Target, a mall, playgroups, etc. in West Hartford, CT. The flight over was less than steller (despite the free drinks in First Class), we've had snow on several occasions, but we're here until April 22nd so check in for the highlights...
