The Welch family moved from Boca Raton, Florida to Brussels, Belgium on Oct 23, 2005 for a two year stint with James' company, Deloitte & Touche LLP. This hopefully will track the many journeys we hope to take while we're here and the little adventures along the way...

On the Tower Bridge.

Goofing around in Hyde Park.

We believe this is the travel bookstore used in Notting Hill. Too bad Hugh Grant wasn't around.

We ate at the original Hard Rock Cafe. Ciaran liked the coloring, while Saoirse decided to eat her crayons as an appetizer.

HEY LOOK KIDS - BIG BEN!

Saoirse built a bear at the Bear Factory at Hamleys toy store.

Unfortunately the Queen wasn't at home, so we took the tour ourselves.

London, England

Enjoying the birds eye view from the London Eye.
You know we can't stop traveling for long. This makes the kids' 11 country they've visited.

Au revoir!

Goofing around at our hotel on our last night.

Our road trip was great, we have three weeks of memories and don't want to eat croissants ever again, but we'll gladly take gelatto any day. Stay tuned for our next adventure!

Mont Blanc

James and I had to take separate gondola rides up Mont Blanc because it wasn't good for the kids ears to be at that altitude (like 13,000 ft.). It was awesome and breath taking.

Alpine Sleds

Ciaran (and Heather and James) loved the slides and that's all he wanted to do when he woke up. Saoirse did go down a few times and liked it too. The pictures below are of her hamming it up for Mummy while the boys were on the sleds.

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France

Pedestrian street in the town. Once of our new favorite spots after Ireland and Venice.

Going on the chairlifts for the alpine slide ride down.

Snow capped mountains even in summer.

Nice, France

Ciaran wasn't so sure of the rocky beach or the waves.

But he never refuses ice cream.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Admiring all the yachts in the harbour.

Ciaran looking for more.

Hard to see James' smile after winning 125 euros at the roulette tables.
